Description
My friend Jacyln made this at her super bowl party. It was so good! She gave me the recipe. I bought a pressure cooker and tried it out. Mine didn't come out as red as hers. She told me that might be because we use different type of soy sauce.

Ingredients
- 1 yellow onion
- 1 fresh tomato
- 1 1⁄2 lb chuck 7 bone steak (see description)
- 1 cn tomato sause (1 medium can or 1-2 small cans per steak)
- 1⁄2 c soy sause
Instructions
- Chop onions
- Chop tomatoes
- Chop steak into cubes; keep the bones and fat as you will be adding them in too
- Cover bottom of pan with tomato sauce
- Add onions
- Add meat and bones
- Add more tomato sauce to reach 50-75% of the height of the meat (you don't need to completely cover your meat in tomato sauce as the juices in the meat and the soy sauce will compensate)
- Add tomatoes on top of meat
- Pour soy sauce on top so you have a thin layer of soy sauce covering the meat mixture (~0.25" layer of soy sauce)(Do not stir soy sauce into the tomato sauce; just leave soy sauce as the top layer; pressure will mix it in)
- Cover and cook over medium heat for 1-1.5 hours depending on how much you are cooking; make sure you depressurize your pot before you open the lid; meat should be tender and cooked through
Notes
Note:
you don't have to add salt as there is enough flavor in the meat, tomato sauce, and soy sauce.
Chuck 7 Bone Steak (most flavorful) or Chuck Roast (the cut for pot
roast) You could also mix it up and have one 7 Bone + Chuck Roast.
Canned tomato sauce (1 medium can or 1-2 small cans per steak) salted to taste. for more information on
